Stress Relief for Cats, Dogs
and Small Animals

Is your animal displaying any of these symptoms of stress?

  • Incontinence & Diarrhea

  • Despondency & Aggression

  • Incessant Barking

  • Hypertension

  • Shock-related Traumas

  • Skin Disorders & Hair Loss

  • Eating Disorders

  • Arthritis & Hip Dysplasia

B.M.E. Stress Management for animals addresses your pet's physical and emotional stress and create an effective treatment plan that will help you manage their stress.

Stress relief is achieved through the use of
situational stress assessments, environmental recommendations, Therapeutic Touch
treatments, and owner home care.  Referrals may be made to other practitioners i.e. massage therapist, chiropractor, acupuncturist, veterinarian or hydrotherapy clinic.

B.M.E. Stress Management Assessments and treatment plans are done on location.  They involve collecting and analyzing information about physical conditions, environmental factors and emotional influences that may be contributing to the animal's current symptoms, illness or behaviours.

Follow-up appointments are scheduled to monitor and re-assess the continued effectiveness of the plans and progress of the horse.

After-care may involve environment changes, physical activity, diet and feeding schedule changes and behavioural supports.

Client Referrals

"My dog was highly sensitive to new people on the property.  He was very protective of his home and aggressive.  His potential for biting was increasing and I was concerned that visitors would be bitten.  Martha's treatment helped him to release his fears of not feeling safe.  She was also able to give me homeopathic and Bach Flower remedies that would help him to be more confident with strangers." L. S.

"My cat's time for passing had finally come.  He was diagnosed with cancer and was feeling very lost and alone.  Martha's Therapeutic Touch session helped him pass on peacefully."  M. R.

Therapeutic Touch is a treatment that
helps release the stressful energy of tension and shock that can cause
distressing physical and emotional symptoms.

Appointments are available to prepare an animal for a new situation as well as to assist their recovery from a stressful experience.

Therapeutic Touch is a stress management healing practice commonly used in hospitals and hospices to help alleviate the on-set of stress and pain associated with many standard treatments and procedures. It is used at Columbia University Hospital in heart surgery, to relieve pre and post operative stress, thereby significantly improving recovery time.
